Registration

  • Members of Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve save $5.00 per person. If you have a family membership, please register each participant separately. If you plan to camp at KPP, make your reservations as soon as your registration is confirmed. Campsites fill up fast.

8:30am - 2019 Summer Wildflower Walk 


Ecologist, educator and author Craig Huegel will be leading a our first summer wildflower walk at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, July 13th, 2019. Many beautiful and unique wildflowers are in bloom in the Florida prairie.


This morning walk is limited to 20 participants. Please bring water, a hat, snacks, sun protection and bug repellant — be prepared.


Fitness Requirements: Ability to walk on uneven ground in the prairie and to tolerate heat and humidity. You will be required to sign a waiver of liability before participating.


PLEASE NOTE: Your place will not be reserved without payment. Be sure your transaction is completed through Paypal when you sign up. (The last confirmation button must be clicked.) Once paid, you will get confirmation emails from PayPal and from the Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Registration is limited and first come / first serve. 


Kissimmee Prairie Preserve is at 33104 NW 192nd Avenue, Okeechobee, FL (Map). Cost is $20 for Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve members and $25 for non-members. (Become a Friends member by clicking here.) A $4 per vehicle entry fee is also required and must be paid at the gate when you enter the park.

This event is a fundraiser for the Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, Inc. was formed in 2011 to work for the preservation, protection, interpretation and promotion of and in the best interest of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. The Friends is a Florida not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and relies on membership fees and private donations to pursue activities on behalf of the Preserve.
