1:30 pm - 2020 Fall Wildflower Walk
The Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve are pleased to announce Craig Huegel will be leading wildflower walks at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, October 24 & 25, 2020. Due to COVID-19 concerns, this year's walks are necessarily smaller, offered to members only, and have special requirements to keep participants safe.
Each walk (Sat. AM and PM, Sun. AM) is limited to just 10 participants. MASKS ARE REQUIRED and all will be asked to social distance. Participants will drive their own vehicles and park along the road to the various walk sites. Please bring your own lunch, water, a hat, sun screen and bug repellant.
PLEASE NOTE: Your place will not be reserved without payment. Be sure your transaction is completed when you sign up. Once paid, you will get confirmation emails from the Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Registration is limited to members only and first come / first serve.
Kissimmee Prairie Preserve is at 33104 NW 192nd Avenue, Okeechobee, FL (Map). Cost is $26 for Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve members. (Become a Friends member by clicking here.) A $4 per vehicle entry fee is also required and must be paid at the gate when you enter the park.

Saturday Schedule:
8:30 am - 9:15 am: Check in for the first wildflower walk.
9:30 am -11:30 am: 1st walk, Limit: 10
12:30 pm -1:30 pm: Check in for the second walk
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm: 2nd plant walk, Limit: 10
Sunday Schedule:
8:30 am - 9:15 am: Check in for the wildflower walk.
9:30 am -11:30 am: Sunday walk, Limit: 10
Fitness Requirements: Ability to walk on uneven ground in the prairie. Your registration implies you agree to this waiver of liability. (you will be checked in without the need to sign anything for safety)
Cancellation/refund policy: Cancellations must be made by October 10th, 2020 for a refund.
