9:30 am, Saturday, April 25th - Spring Wildflower Walk

Certified Florida master naturalist Stephanie Dunn teams up with ecologist, author, and USF Botanical Gardens curator Dr. Craig Huegel for a fun, educational walk in the amazing Florida prairie. Craig and Stephanie will lead the annual Spring Wildflower Walks at Kissimmee Prairie on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. You really don't want to miss this one! This walk is limited to 20 participants.

PLEASE NOTE: Your place will not be reserved without payment. Be sure your transaction is completed when you sign up. Once paid, you will get confirmation emails from the Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Registration is first come / first serve.

9:00 am - 9:20 am: Check in

9:30 am - 11:30 pm: Spring Wildflower Walk

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve is at 33104 NW 192nd Avenue, Okeechobee, FL (Map). Cost is $29 for Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve members and $39 for non-members. (Become a Friends member by clicking here.) A $4 per vehicle entry fee is also required and must be paid at the gate when you enter the park.

Fitness Requirements: Ability to walk on uneven ground in the prairie. Your registration implies you agree to this waiver of liability.


Cancellation/refund policy: Cancellations must be made by April 9th, 2026 for a refund.

This event is a fundraiser for the Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Friends of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, Inc. was formed in 2011 to work for the preservation, protection, interpretation and promotion of and in the best interest of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. The Friends is a Florida not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and relies on membership fees and private donations to pursue activities on behalf of the Preserve.
